The Zeri Library is a specialist History of Art library. It comprises more than 46,000 books, 37,000 auction catalogues, and 60 journals.
The Zeri Library's collection of 37,000 auction catalogues is the largest in Italy. It includes Italian and foreign catalogues divided by nationality and date of sale, spanning from the late nineteenth century until 1998.
The Federico Zeri Foundation is open to donations of volumes and book collections to enrich and complete the Zeri Library within its specialist framework. When offered, donations need to be vetted by the Director and Scientific Board of the Foundation.
Federico Zeri was the pioneer of art coverage on television, displaying unequalled talent as a communicator. His many programmes on the RAI exploring neglected and run-down corners of the Italian art heritage were an important chapter in his intellectual career.
