This is aimed at students and graduates of Italian universities or other institutions, by agreement with the Federico Zeri Foundation.
The internship provides training and mentoring from the staff of the Federico Zeri Foundation as part of a project for managing and enhancing photograph and book collections.
Guided by a tutor, students will have hands-on contact with materials kept at the Federico Zeri Foundation, and will actively collaborate over:

  • Library management (reading room, reception of users, handling requests for consultation, sorting and replacing books used, cataloguing new acquisitions, processing archive documents relating to books)
  • Implementing catalogue file data (bibliographical research and updating, iconographic research and subject determination, implementation of authority files)
  • Support for the organizing secretary of the Foundation for activities relating to scientific dissemination, promotion, training

The internship is preceded by one day of training in order to illustrate who Federico Zeri was and what he bequeathed to Bologna University, as well as the digitized cataloguing project for the Photo Archive.
Hours of preliminary training are also scheduled for learning to handle library books and documents, and archiving photographic material.
