In 2009 the heirs of Massimo Pallottino (1909-1995), who taught Etruscan Studies at the Rome La Sapienza University and was a member of the Lincei Academy, donated to the Zeri Library over 600 volumes of art history from the archaeologist's library.
The donation goes to complete Federico Zeri's collection in the sections of aesthetics, art theory, museum catalogues and books on subjects to do with Rome and Latium.
These publications often bear dedications and annotations that reveal a network of contacts between the Etruscan scholar and other twentieth-century intellectuals.
